news > 18 March 2007 Mothers Day Anti-Dairy AfternoonThis afternoon, a group of Vegan Campaigners hit Covent Garden. Battling unseasonable cold, wind and rain showers, we handed out Vegan Organica rice milk chocolate (mmm...), chocolate soya milk, vanilla rice milk and almond milk. A couple of brave campaigners took it in turns to dress up as a cow. The cow costume was kindly lent to us by PETA. We held plackards with "Britains Hardest Working Mother, Ditch the Dairy" and "I want my mother back! Unhappy Mothers Day". We handed out leaflets donated by Viva!. On the whole, the public reception was really positive. People particularly enjoyed the Vegan Organica Chocolate and many asked questions about becoming vegan or where to buy dairy-free food.
