Anti-McDonald's Demo

On Thursday 25 August the regular anti-McDonalds demo took place at Leicester Square. As well as leafleting, protesters handed out free vegan food which was well received by passers by.

There is always a good response to the protest outside McDonalds, people seem much more aware of the issues, probably due to the McLibel campaign; and the film 'Supersize Me'. The protests give them more food for thought and quite a number turn away from McDonalds as a result. We ensure that we have a list of alternative veggie/vegan restaurants in the area for those that ask.

The protests take place most Thursdays from 5.30 to 7pm, if you want to come along, text 07960 036044 to ensure that the protest is taking place.

There will also be a veggie burger giveaway and leafleting in Hackney on Sat 15 October, to co-incide with the worldwide day of action against McDonalds. See the events page for details.
