Vegan Campaigns Events in May

In the middle of May, we hit the streets of Kilburn and set up a vegan information and food stall. Despite the numbers of drunk people out to watch the FA Cup final, the stall was a great success.

The chocolate brownies went down particularly well with the public, as did the always popular mini pizzas. We gave out quite a few leaflets, and spoke to lots of people about the benefits of a vegan diet.

Many people asked questions about becoming vegan and took recipe booklets. In addition to the chocolate cake, we gave out samples of Alpro chocolate soya milk, Soyatoo squirty dairy-free cream, Beanies sausages, felafal, Sheese dairy free cream cheese, Plamil chocolate, and veggie pate.

On the Sunday of the second May bank holiday, Vegan Campaigns held a stall at the Redbridge Green Fair. Despite it being one of the rainiest bank holiday Sundays ever, we had a number of interested people at the stall. People were interested to hear the connections between being vegan and the environment. We also managed to promote the London Vegan Festival and the London 21 Animals and the Environment event to non vegans.

Keep an eye open for future vegan and information stalls on our events page.
