Stall at Greenfest, Hammersmith

This afternoon, we ran a stall at Hammersmith Greenfest. The stall was successful. As you can see from the photos, a great time was had by all! We decided to sell food on this occasion (rather than giving it out for free), but gave out some Lyme Regis fruit and nut bars that were donated, and Plamil Chocolate for people to taste. We gave out lots of leaflets, including Vegan Society's Are Your Meals Costing the Earth?.

We came across quite a few people who were interested in becoming vegan, and recruited a few more potential vegan campaigners.

As usual, people made a bee-line for the delicious chocolate cake. We were proud to stand behind a new Vegan Campaigns banner made by Kaye!

Unfortunately, to our horror, there was meat for sale at two food stalls and an animal farm with live animals at The Greenfest. As we know, there is nothing green about eating meat. For more information and statistics on meat, dairy, eggs and the environment, see Planet on a Plate. If you would like to make a complaint about the meat for sale at the green fair, and to suggest that future fairs do not include meat, please email info@greenfest.org.uk.

Keep an eye open for future vegan and information stalls on our events page.
