Catering at Haringey Independence Day
Vegan Campaigns were asked to provide catering at "Haringey Independence Day" for the second year running. This community event included a "Give and Take Day", childrens entertainment, films, stalls and talks about local issues.
We were constantly busy during the day serving salads, savoury food such as ratioulle pasties and nut roast, hot and cold drinks and of course a good selection of cakes. By the end of the day all the food had sold out, and we raised around £400 for the group.
We had an information stall at a prominent place, and lots of people took recipe leaflets.
This community event attracted a diverse range of local people, so as well as raising money for the group it provided a great opportunity to introduce people to the delights of vegan cuisine.
We always need help catering at events such as this one, so if you can help in the future please contact us.
