Animals Asia's animal welfare projects in China and Vietnam with a special focus on bear bile farming and the current huge project, the conversion of a bear bile farm into a sanctuary.

Maren Dallmann has been an animal lover all her life and wanted to be a vet, but as her grades weren't good enough she went the route of office job instead but never forgetting what she really wanted. When she found out about bear bile farming and the amazing work of Animals Asia she had to get involved and do all she could to help, which is why she set up the London Animals Asia Support Group in 2010.  She has been to both sanctuaries and met the rescued bears, a very moving and humbling experience in so many ways. She is more determined than ever to help end this horrendous trade by educating, raising awareness and raising those all-important funds.

The major welfare programmes in China and Vietnam are: End Bear Bile Farming, Dog and Cat Welfare and Zoos and Safari Parks.
