The Black Fish - More action for the oceans

Wietse van der Werf, co-founder of the new marine protection
organisation The Black Fish, will talk about the problems surrounding
industrial fishing and the ongoing slaughter of marine animals which
goes by relatively unnoticed in European seas. Illegal whaling as
continued by the nations of Iceland and Norway, as well as animals
captured for the entertainment industry will also be discussed. The
Black Fish is preparing for direct action at sea and are rallying

The Black Fish is a new marine activist organisation that was founded
last year with the aim to initiate more action for the protection of sea
life within Europe. Since the founding of the organisation only 12
months ago, a number of campaigns have already had success, such as the closing of a dolphinarium in Germany, the release of dolphins at the dolphin hunt in Taiji, Japan, and an investigation into destructive
fisheries in Europe.

The Black Fish is preparing for direct action campaigns at sea against
the most illegal and destructive fishing operations which plague
