Welcome to the London Vegan Festival webpages, which are being hosted by Vegan Campaigns. The London Vegan Festival is organised by CALF/Vegan Campaigns.
Lead by the Vegan Society’s new Education Officer, Daniel Therkelsen, this unusual workshop would explore, without judgement, ways of overcoming obstacles likely to be faced by teenage vegans (like their parents cooking for them, misinformation they have from various sources etc.) and a general introduction to the reasons for going vegan and the nutrition-side of it. The last two topics make it a great workshop for everyone who is vegan and anyone who is considering going vegan – whatever their age, they’re welcome. It would additionally be particularly useful for parents of vegan children who want to be prepared for tackling these challenges later in the child’s life.
Bio Description:
Moving recently from the Trademark Assistant role to the Education Officer role, I have exciting plans to really carry vegan education forward. In my own time, I’ve delivered a variety of workshops ranging from pacifist self-defence to legal rights. I’m passionate about veganism and raising awareness in a non-judgemental way, aware of the obstacles to changing your lifestyle – and that’s exactly what this workshop deals with, exploring those obstacles and giving you accurate information to make informed choices.
